We encourage students to be involved in all aspects of percussion during their time at JSU.  You can study privately with two full time percussion faculty members on a variety of instruments.  You can be involved in one of the concert percussion or mallet ensembles.  You can even learn play steel drums in the brand new steel drum ensemble.  You can be involved in a number of jazz combos, big bands, wind ensembles, pep band, and even the chamber orchestra.  Whether you want to study marimba, vibes, snare drum, timpani, drum set, hand drums, or orchestral percussion, JSU is right for you!
